The Story Behind Kierans Voyages
Kierans Voyages is a travel blog shaped by decades of journalism, curiosity, and a lifelong love of exploring places properly. Kieran is a former Editor of the Munster Express and a long-time contributor to the paper, based in Waterford, Ireland. In 2024, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Irish Local Ireland Newspaper Organisation, recognising his contribution to local and national journalism.
Travel with Perspective
Having travelled to over 20 European countries, lived in London, and explored North America and parts of Asia, Kieran brings experience and context to every journey. He has covered major global events as an accredited journalist, including five Olympic Games, four FIFA World Cups, and three Rugby World Cups—experiences that now inform a thoughtful, observant approach to travel writing rather than fast-paced tourism.
